After converting parts inside rear diff to unrecognisable metal fragments, I am installing ARB air lockers.
Since I need new ring and pinion, I am changing to 4.10, which means the front needs to get done too, so out with the open diff there too.
And while I'm on a spending spree, 4 new 37x13.50R18 Toyo MT will replace the 35s.
Bumpers will need to wait even longer now.
Should do a front ARB while you are in there. It is great to be able to select which end to lock and when. I drive with the rear open all the time. Less wear on the tires for street use and just a quick flip of the switch to be locked. You should do a air tank and a Viair compressor so you can have onboard air and air horns.
I don't know how common this failure is, but those of you romping on your factory limited slip with large tires and power increases might want to be aware of what might happen.
