I know the 360 is not a IDI persay but had a few questions about them. Lookin at a 89 Ford Bus with the 6.6L Turbo Diesel and i think its an Allison tranny. Running is the entire thing worth $1500? Also will this bolt up to a regular Powerstroke and/or 6.9/7.3L bolt pattern? Looking to play with a I6 diesel but wanna stay IH. What can i expect out of this motor?:ford:
I think there was a 400 but don't quote me.
Pipewhiner has done a conversion, myself and a few others are following in his footsteps. They do not bolt up, so we are having adapters made. PM him for pricing and search dt-360 conversion for the whole write up. It is a great swap and the motors are reasonable and very stout.
The Ford 6.6L diesel is exactly that - Ford! Often the 6.6L and 7.8L siblings are called New Holland or 'Brazilian'.
International's DT360 is a different engine altogether.
