I just put a used lift on the Ex. The lift was off of a 99 superduty. It has new 4 inch blocks on the back and replacement(used) springs up front. Now my question is has anybody had to put an adjustable trac bar on when they used the drop down bracket? We had to really pry and work at it to get it to line up and now I can see that its crab walkin. Im thinking of doing what I did to my old 89 f350 and cutting and welding in an extension piece. Any one done that?
crab walkin? You mean dog tracking where the front is over more then the rear going down the road?I lengthend my trac bar .Its solid so I drilled it on one end and tapped it for a 3/4 bolt.Used a grade 8 bolt and welded it to the other end. then used a jam nut to set it.Works great and has been offroaded many times with no problems.
They will work fine. We have them in DOM and Billet Alumnum just PM me your zip and I'll get you prices.
