I did this on another site a while back so thought I would post it here too
Superduties are very deceiving as far as size in pictures. So I'm wanting to see pics of lifted Superduties with people next to the truck so we can get a better idea of size. If you can, list the truck specs and/or persons height. Might help someone out that is trying to decide on lift size.
And these are the only 2 pics I could find, they are old and not great position of the truck. I will look for more updated and flat ground pics later. In the pic its an 8" lift with 37" Irok tires (they seemed to run a little small though) and im about 6'1
It's funny, when I was rotating tires after work in our warehouse other employees said those tires look small. Then when I took one off and they walked up to them off the truck they were as high as there nuts.
Look at this thread, you can see lots of people around my truck with 38's and the 8" lift. The rear springs are a little low there. The white OBS is on 37's PSN Camping trip pics! - Powerstroke Nation
I got rid of them, if you see in the link i posted in my last post, im now running 38" military tires. Those iroks were bias (which means pain in the ass but I got them cheap and needed somethign) So they were OK i guess, radials would probably be alright tires though.
I had iroc radials on my truck and imo they are terrible they took alot of weight to balance and didnt last long at all im running nitto mud grapplers now and they are 100% better they go down the road better they have lasted alot longer and took way less weight to balance the only bad things i found so far is that they are pretty heavy and they are really noisy but they are great tires
Did you built the lift? How does it ride? I'm getting ready to bag my truck, but not sure if it'll be boaty.
What about the links? Does it wander on the road?
Love the hooters pic tank, i was planning on going to the carwash one weekend pretty soon and getting a pic of them washing it lol. Put the picture on my debit card.
I actually really like the tires, yes they're the XML's. I have a pic of them on a 9" wide wheel, which i believe is what the military actually used them on. I will post it up if i can find it. But yea, its a good, but heavy tire. Im actually thinking of going up another 4" or 6" and do some bush wackers and running the 395/85/20 XML tires. Those are about 46x15.5 IIRC
