Couple weeks ago I picked up a new truck. Black crew cab long bed 2wd dually, with a 6 speed. Its an early 99, with 120,000 miles. It was bone stock when I bought it, with a drop in K&N air filter. So as soon as the engines opened up she'll be getting a compression test.
Heres what I had to start with for the most part, except the mirrors, intake, and chopped exhaust
Then it got some guages, later superduty mirrors and the CB whips.
Decided to loose the Texas style bumper...
The new truck also came with 3.73's which pissed me off, so I had to swap the axle with 4.10's from the old truck to the new truck.
Some help from the guys
Got the second axle out of the new truck, kinda late
The guys, (CatRebel on the far left)
And the next day, I think we spent literally 5 hours getting this home brewed gooseneck hitch out to put in a B&W. Ran out of oxygen for the the torches, so we ended up using a cutting wheel to get the whole thing out.
Then after that was done, we wrapped up putting in the axle and the hitch.
And the last thing I've got done so far as of yesterday was the 05' front end.
Next is engine related goodies and a front axle. I'll be picking up a front axle this comming weekend. I think I'll also be swaping the HPOP, intake plenums, maybe the turbo but thats a toss up since I might just go bigger. I also still have to pull out the injectors from my old truck and send them out to get bumped up a little bit, but I'm not sure how much yet.
I'll keep updates comming, and pictures since they're entertaining.
