Driving last night and cruising at 65 then got ready to downshift to stop and the clutch pedal was very hard to press....finally popped it out of gear and the would not engage to go into 4th. Stopped and shut the truck off, then it would not restart because of clutch problem. Finally got it going having to shift completely clutchless. Got home, checked the assembly, and the sensor on the pedal rod is seperated from the master cylinder, just kinda rolls around it. Fluid is good and full, just will not engage the clutch.....will a prebled unit from ford fix the problem? There was no noise from the tranny, clutch held fine just wouldnt shift. And what is the easiest way to remove the master cylinder through the firewall......remove the rod from the pedal or can i seperate them from the master cylinder. Thanks
