Much props to the idea. But I'd like to see how this goes down if you attempt it. Most body shops/guys are still in trial and error attempts on swapping the '08+ front clips on the pre-'05 trucks.opcorn:
08 clips are easy. Weld on new frame horns and line everything up. It's been done enough that all the trial and error is worked out of it.
I don't see why the 2011 clip would be any different....I just need a parts list to price it out and see if it's something I really wanna do.
Gotta be easier that putting a 2001 Explorer front clip on my old 96 Ranger show truck. I had to weld the two fenders together to pull that off plus weld on new frame horns.
I still had it done in 2 days.
whats all involved in doing a 08 clip?? im putting heat in a bodymans shop and were working the trade details out now. this has already been brought up.
there was an excursion on the site that already had it done ill see if i can find the thread
