Rear Sway Bar!

When I bought my 01 F250 from the previous owner, the rearend didn't have a rear sway bar under it.
1. Was the Rear Sway Bar on Option?
2. Would a Rear Sway Bar help handling during towing?
3. Any opinion on make of Bar to look at?

The reason I asked... Is I see alot of older PSD with rear sway bars as well as newer models. And after changing out my front sway bars bushings with Energy Suspension polyurethane, it really firmed up the front end, and handling was night and day... so I figured what a rear sway bar would do for the rear end... Unloaded and Loaded?

Any Thoughts or Advice would be appriciated
Thanks

Are the sway bars the same for the gassers and diesels? Will an OBS bar work?

Reason I ask is because there is a gasser F250 at the local yard, but I dont remember if it had a sway. I dont think my 350 does, will have to double check.

Mine did not come with one either and I put a Helwig on. It made a nice noticeable difference.
