Ok guys i plan on gettin some tires and rims soon. Im gunna get the 18x9 XD766 Diesel B's. I dont know what size tires i should get because of mpg's. Soo if you could fill me in on what size tire that'd be great. Also would i need to level the truck to fit these rims n tires? Tire preferences are BFG A/T's or Kumho KL-78's. Thanks, Jake
something between a 33 or 35in tire.33's will do slightly better in city driving but suffer a little in highway use while 35's will increase highway milage and suffer a little in city driving stop and go.leveling kit most will suggest the mini spring packs to mantain stock ride but I ran a 2in procomp kit that replaced the stock springs and found it to actually ride better then my stock springs.
I just got a 2.5" leveling kit put on my 06' 4x4 crew. I had them put 35's on first, and I didn't like them. I had what the installer called "axle rap." What ever it is called, I was getting heavy vibrations in low gears as the shaft was trying to get the tires going. It drove me nuts! They said it was fixable but I decided to go down to 33's, and what a difference. It rides and feels much better, but thats just my opinion. Plus the 35's barely fit. I had to trim a lot of the inner fender pastic and they were about a 1/4 of an inch away from the back part of the front fender when slightly turned. Also I am running completely stock, no exhaust, tunes, etc. Just the levelin kit, 3" blocks in the rear, rancho 9000s all around, and 20" Ultra Makos with 305/55/20 toyo a/t's.
