97 f250 wheel bearing ?

Hey guys I was trying to pack the front bearings on a 97 250 truck and none of my hub sockets seem to work. Can you guys tell me what size I need or point me in a direction to order one. Thanks

Do you have auto locking hubs or manual locking? The manuals will take the old school 4-pin socket and I believe the auto's take a standard 6 point socket, can't remember the size off the top of my head... I may not be remembering right either.

Re: 97 f250 wheel bearing ?

its the auto ones and its not the 4 pin style it actually looks like its got 3 1/2 sides. My 2 9/16 socket seemed to small. 2 5/8 wouldnt fit it so some kind of different hub socket.

Re: 97 f250 wheel bearing ?

I purchased the one I needed for manual hubs at autozone. It was a metric size. At first it seemed like it wouldn't fit but after a little bit of force it went on. The paint was the problem.
