Question Engine Block Heater Cord 2006 Ford F-250

Someone in my office has a Ford F-250 (6.0L) powerstroke.
I tried to help her find the cord to the engine block heater but I can't locate it. It is not in the same place as my 2003 F-350. Someone said to look around the right front fender well. Can anybody give me any insite to this???

All the 6.0L have the block heater, not all had the cord installed. She may need to purchase the cord.

Re: Engine Block Heater Cord 2006 Ford F-250

All 6.0's left the factory with the heater element installed, but the cord was installed if the truck was optioned with the heater. Worst case you will have to buy a cord for it.

If you can't find it near the bumper, usually by the passenger side tow took, then to make sure, you should be able to see the element on the passenger side of the block above the starter.

This might help ya with finding it, or installing one, Diesel Technician Society

I don't know the part number for it, but I believe its over $60 from the dealer, and can be had for about $30 or so on ebay or some online places I believe.
