I found a guy selling his Arrowcraft dually kit so I bought it. Complete, fenders, adaptors, wheels, tires, stainless covers, fender liners, and all the hardware for $1K. The fenders are being painted this week so I'll post some pics next week. Here is how it looks now. Just couldn't find a low milage dually to buy and my truck is too clean to sell for what it's worth. All I need now is a buyer for the stock wheels with 4 new Michelins, approx 3K miles.
I'm in Az. Too far unless you are coming to get out of the snow. LOL!!
I will take $400 and throw in a spare thats been on the ground for about 30 miles.
a 2 squeel drive dually huh? Worthless i would keep it a srw if i were you. 2wd trucks are just about as bad, i dont even no why you would want one. Sorry had to rant never liked the look of a 2wd srw much less a drw.
Well everyone has their own agenda. I tow a big toyhauler (see sig) on some winding roads and having 2 more wheels on the rear makes me feel warm & fuzzy in case I blow a tire. As for the looks the only difference I can see is the frt is higher on the 4X Some new coils +2" in frt will fix that.
Anything else you won't like about my truck? I'm open to suggestionsoke:.
I'll post up some picks when done.
I got one side done this evening. I have other things to do tomorrow but should finish it on Sunday or Monday. Still need to trim the side molding and get it replaced but it's coming along.
Not bad there's a lip that puts it in place horizontally in the wheel well opening and you pull up on it till the body line matches then take a short (1.5" pencil and mark the holes, this part takes 2 people, and start drilling. The hard part was reaching to the top to start and tighten the bolts alone. When I was finished I couldn't lift my arms for an hour or so. But I got it.
Almost finished. Still need to wire the marker lights on the fenders, replace the short running boards, and replace the side moulding. It was dark so the pics aren't the best. I'll get some more tomorrow after I clean it up a little. Going to add a 2.5" leveling on the frt to get it looking a little better.
I thought of that but I'm having surgery soon and cleaning all that crap off is more that I want to do right now. I'm lucky I got the conversion finished.
My truck budget is running low so the 16's will have to wear out first. I would like a 2.5" leveling kit but haven't seen one.
