i have a 99 F350 with an automatic, and sled pull, anyways, i was wondering if there is anyone out there running racing brakes, or some sort of performance brakes/calipers/rotors on there trucks, the stock system continues to get ate up, and wont hold the truck back to well, we have a 2500 stall currently, but getting it loosened over winter, anyways, thats why we are holding the brakes trying to build boost and rpm's and such, so just let me know what your running, where you can get them, if you like your brake set up thanks!!
The powerslots are alot better than any oem rotor I found. I tried Fords and bendix rotors and the powerslots are hands down better. I didn't use hawk pads though, I used Fords good pads. Look around on the web for the best price. On my 99 F250 there are two different rotors for the front, I don't know if the F350 is like this or not. One has more offset that the other. The powerslots didn't cost anymore than the good bendix rotors. I'm thinking a little over $100 each.
ok thanks guys, that is very helpful, do any of you guys sled pull?? i am just curious if those pads and rotors are holding up well at the track, thanks
i think it depends on how much you want to spend... powerslot cryo rotors and LTS pads is a good start... but if you have the cash to spend the SSBC kits are nice but are about 1500 bucks
ok, ya i will more than likely go with a powerslot rotor of some sort, and a good set of pads, the 1500 bucks is a lil steep, but thanks for the advice
scary part is that is a decent price on ssb's..
there really doesn't seem to be anything in the middle price wise..
infact it only goes up i have seen oversized multi-piston setups for 3300+
I have cyro'd powerslot hawk lts pads
I like them far better then my warped oem's
yah im running the cryo powerslots with LTS pads as well... if you want an even better pedal breaking feel get some SS braided lines... i felt a big diff after installing those...
