i want them right now but im worried about worn out injectors. i got this truck like 4 months ago with a reman in it so ive been scerd to do to much to it.
what kind of tuning would it need for stage one? and do i need bigger hpop?
ok please expain the dif between stage 2 and hybrids. damn i feel like an idiot been working on detroits and alcos for 8 years and dont know some of this stuff.
Stage 2's are typically Stage 1's with larger nozzles but still 160cc's.
Stage 3's or hybrids are 230cc's with still larger than stock nozzles. They use different parts from different injectors and require less oil due to the design.
I'm not sure about how Rosewood rates their "stages" though.

There seems to be some misconceptions about Hybrids and oil use.
Hybrids use less oil when you're trying to push 238 cc vs 238 cc A codes. I'd say if you want 200 cc or more then you might be better off with Hyrbids, otherwise stay with Stage-2.
To just say that 238 cc Hybrids use less oil than a Stage-2, is incorrect, they use about the same, and usually more oil if they have larger nozzles.
they'd be going in a CC flatbed 450, so the 50hp on top of the tuner would be plenty for me. if i had a pickup i would lean towards hybrids. I'm just looking to kind of refresh them.
Really if this is a towing application then I would either put 30% or 80% nozzles on the stage 2s. The tendency is to use 100% nozzles which I feel are a bit big for an application that needs to work for a living.
I like the 80s at most for a truck that needs to tow. It can still make 500+hp on a 238cc injector. I have also found that smoke output and fuel economy best with the 80% vs the 100%.
I have tuned many trucks with both nozzles and just like the 80% as the best "all around" nozzle.
after reading horror stories about blocks and rods and when the two meet, I'd rather stay away from the big stuff. like i was saying, i need it to be reliable because its a work truck.
If Stage-2 and 238 cc Hyrbids use about the same oil, I can tell you my truck with 238 cc Hybrids will hold 3000 psi of oil pressure with a reman 17* pump.
I'd say that's all that's really needed for Stage-1, 2, or 3. More than 238 cc IMO you will need something more.
Of course that all depends on the tunes, too. If they call for a lot of oil, it might not be there, so good tunes and a 17* pump will go a long way.
FWIW there are dozens fo guys that make 500+ hp on a single 17* pump...
yep...the adrenaline or modded 17 °is a good option regardless
but depending on the age of the injectors a fresh set might do some good especially modded ones.
also need to consider if they are in good enough shape to rebuild.
