I am just wondering is it normal for your coolant to be clear or a brownish color. Might look brownish because it is in the bottle. Was green about 2 weeks ago then drove to Georgia last night and popped the hood this morning because I was smelling diesel fumes and noticed the coolant was not green anymore. Should I replace it or is it ok? Thanks just don't want any trouble while I am out of town.
i would, i ran oil in my coolant for close to 30,000 miles from my oil cooler blowing:doh: it didnt hurt anything. Its only 4 gallons so about $30 to replace it and be done with it. just get 2 gallons coolant, dont get the 50% coolant.
Temp guage doesn't move. Guess that is the next one that I need to put on. I am in Smyrna until Wed. then headed to Panama City to check on a job down there and then headed back to Texas.
Well I guess tomorrow night I'll pull the plug and just replace it all. Would feel safer that way.
Thanks I'll keep that handy. I just went and had it flushed today at a service center. Main reason I am out of town and I still have 6 states to drive threw by Friday when I get back to Texas.
Peace of mind now. Fan not kicking on like it use to but we'll see when I get on the freeway or in traffic.
So how close would that work for a 6.0l since it's labeled for 7.3l?
