I just put my new 6 position ts chip with the settings of high idle, stock, 50hp,75 hp, 100 hp, and 140 hp. the truck runs like a retarded dog on stock and on 140 it likes to die on me when i push in my clutch for a stop, and it hesitates a little bit when i mash down on the pedal, i pulled up two codes off of my truck, p0462 and p1670, any ideas as to what is going on? the truck runs fine on all the other programs
check your evbp tube...steel brake line looking tube comes of the header see if it is broken or clogged (unless you gutted your ebpv )
other code lookes like an electrical or pcm type error to me..
does it do it with the chip back out?
when you chipped the truck keys no where near the ignition eh?
id you clean the contacts enough or too much?
chip well seated?
an auto chip will work in a stick but not vice versa..
..sure it is the right pcm code or at least close.... for example my ts chip is a nvk code
i cleaned the terminals good, it might have been just about too clean cuz on the corners the copper is barely showin, and the only thingsi have doen to the truck are tymar intake, 4in straight piped single stack, new clutch, gauges ipr valve and a new cps. and what do you mean by code?
NAll pcms are coded by series...some work on other. Year trucks.
For example my early 99 came with an xl series pcm I replaced it with a pmt pcm .
But not every pcm works for all years. Iirc 02 and 03 are diff for examplechips are coded to work with certain pcm types..if it was a used chip it may or may not be coded correct.
Not saying yours is wrong it is just a step to start on.
Well i just go off the phone with ts and i have the wrong chip program, my computer is the dac2 and the chip i got was awa4 so this was my whole nightmare thank god it was this simple, my new chip should be here tomorrow thanks to overnight shipping
