Well I finally got around to putting in my smoked headlights last thursday and it was a little bit of a job but all in all not too bad It finally stopped raining today so I washed my truck up and got a few pics: (thanks Paul for the help Big Stroker)
old headlights:
I wish I would have got the F250 ones though, I had to remove the headlight adjuster on both headlights and put it on the opposite caddy corner on each headlight....not sure if it was b/c the headlights say f150 or what
Thanks guys for the comments, it was a HUGE improvement over stock 216k yellow, water pleaded lenses!
yeah, thats why I went ahead and ordered f150 ones b/c they are all the same but I was thinking in my head that it might had something to do with the adjusters being in the wrong place but I'm sure they just screwed up when they put the lights together...not a big deal:ford:
Thanks man, I appreciate it...so far I love the look...I haven't really got much out of town with her since to new lights, see how a couple friends like em this weekend.
Thanks, they were actually on my truck when I picked it up. I really want to get a little lift 3-4" and put 18" on it but it looks good for now, just wish I could run bigger tires.
I have thought about picking some of those up, just not sure about them yet..I definitely don't want the rice burner looks but I want to black it out.
Thanks for the comments on the truck guys, I try to make her look good as much as I can...I need to get 1 more good coat of Mothers Wax put on the truck before winter/cold weather gets here!
for anyone that is interested, I finally got a camera and figured out how to easily post pics up here. I'm finally starting to be happy with my truck aside from the suspension!
Your truck looks REAL good! I was about to request you to post some pictures so that I could see the Ranch hand rear bumper on your truck, since our trucks are so similiar. I think its won me over
I will have to share some pics when I get my new wheels/tires on in the next week or so. I think those smoked headlights/corners have me tempted to put some on my truck as well, altho I still like the look of the stock headlights/corners. Hmm.
Hey I'm trying to replace the chrome bezel piece around the head lights. There are two bolts on the bottom. Do I have to pull the grill to get to them? I do see any other way...
I must be retarded because I just can't get to the two nuts. I'm heading out to the junk yard. Hopefully it'll be easier out there because the truck is stripped...
:whs: take the batteries out, take the grill out.....they are just a real PITA to get to but they should be 2 10mm nuts, then remove your bulbs as stated above. Then the bottom marker and clearence corner light will come out with your chrome bezel..the headlights stay. It really just is a pain.
I think the first time you take it apart it will always be a lot longer than the next time just by my own experience of knowing how things come apart and what goes where....
