Anyone else as curious as me about what the lines running in the oil rail are for? I'm figuring it's water injection, but I'm wondering how it's plumbed that way and why?
I'm sure its ware injection. Mounted like that so it sprays into each runner and the outside top of the HPO rail was the most convient location for the entry point into the head. i'm sure its plumbed right through that rail and into the runner or just in front of each runner.

Injector cups, hold downs, pump mounting, computer signals and sensors, fuel system, etc is all figured out and designed. I have a couple small issues that I won't discuss publically about making it a full bolt on kit. Valve covers are not fully designed  but there are some napkin sketches that could be quickly converted to a design. I have the injectors, pumps, pulleys, wiring, sensors, fuel lines for testing, etc all on hand right now.
And yes I did all that work and have changed direction for the moment. I am going to install a HEUI motor in the truck for the time being, but that doesn't mean that I am done with the work on the common rail setup. I will most likely finish it someday either for myself, or if someone approaches me and is interested enough in it. I don't think its a viable option for all the guys that love to drool over it. A CR conversion "kit" would run an estimated $15K and I think that is just too high to be marketable.
It's not 2000hp, and the reason his block stays together, is that it is fully filled, runs a hell of a girdle on it, and only produces as much torque as some of the 600-700hp guys, however he can do that work at 5000-6000rpm, which gives him the impressive HP number.
whats the chances of getting a sigma 8 cylinder pump to fit with hypermax's or swamps new front covers? I'd say we all know what sigma's 6 cylinder pumps are capable of.
Oh yes, the cupping is a crucial step. I'm sorry I forgot to include that.
