Re: I can now build the 2011 F-series with the 6.7L and 6-spd auto, in the Ford Ordre

Yup that sounds like an Eaton E-Locker. I have a pair installed on my wrangler. Engagement is unnoticeable. I know its engaged when trying to turn the steering wheel....
Good news.
Now if only it would be offered with:
manual....
achieve low 20's on the highway....
run biodiesel.....

Many vehicles come factory E-lockers, this is not a ground breaking option. Even H2 Hummers have E-lockers, and those things are for duche ****. It would be a nice addition though.

Well, I am in a unique position and if the pricing comes in too high for me I can just put it on th lot and sale it to someone else and order up a cheaper unit. I am guessing pricing will be real similar to the 2010's, if not cheaper due to the fact that Ford will control the new engine pricing and there's no longer a middle man involved
Re: I can now build the 2011 F-series with the 6.7L and 6-spd auto, in the Ford Ordre
Thats is so far the #1 thing I dislike about the new fords then. Do you know what the 6th gear ratio will be for the new torqshift. This is extremely bad news for those of us who enjoy running 35 or 37" tires, not to mention those of us that tow a lot. I cant figure out why Ford would make a decision like that. A taller (numerically lower) gear ratio also means more stress on the driveline as well. So I take it that this truck probably wont feel much different power wise compared to a 6.4, especially with a 3.31. Who the hell puts a 3.31 in a HD truck? :badidea: Sorry for the rant, but im really looking forward to this truck, but now know ill have to regear it if I get one.

i thought the same way but i just bought a f150 platunum for my wife and had to have 373s after driving it 355 would have been plenty trust me a 6 speed trans low end gears are very low if you mash it from a stop it only stays in 1st gear for a split second.. i cant wait for the new superduty trust me i even think as high as 300 gears with thr 6 speed would still be a horse

also regarding the 6 speed trans i have used it to tow my bass boat and it really tows well and im sure every one here knows what a turd the 5.4 is but im telling you all the trans really wakes it up....i own a 05 6.0 350 and ive been taking the f150 fishing lately plenty of power coming from a 5.4 i know it sounds crazy...also getting a steady 15.5 towing a bass boat hauling ass not driving slow..
