Wll every now and then when i turn my truck doesn't turn back. normally i can just let off the wheel and the wheels turn straight by them self but sometimes they want to stay turned. The truck does have 35's on it and i don't ever remember this happening until i put them on. Could it be that i need a steering stablizer i don't have one on the truck at all but there is a spot for one. Any other ideas does it happen to you guys?
Could be that, could also be there steering shaft u joints binding up. I'd check them out. Lack of wheel return can also be due to too negative caster. When is the last time the truck has been lined up?
it's been a little while i never thought about that i used to align cars daily and it never crossed my mind but now i don't work in a shop so i'll have to try to talk to a buddy and do that before i spend money on a steering stablizer. thanks for the help matthew.
i have and i just replaced the rf hub i knew that didn't cause the lack of wheel return though i could just hear it turning left going fast. i'll let you know when i get it off the rack
well i talked to one of my buddies that still works in a shop and he said you can't adjust caster. I got to looking and we only have a toe adjustment. Would that cause the lack of wheel return or should i just buy a steering stablizer????
You may wish to check your front drive axle u-joints. When mine started to seize truck would not recenter after you let go of the wheel once rounding a corner.
