I'm running out of time to build a set of traction bars.... any ideas on quick setups to hold my rear axle from twisting? I had a thought of just mounting 2 hooks on my frame and then chaining my axle on both sides. Is that a bad idea or will it work for a pull or 2?
so that will be healthy for my pinion then? That is the main reason I want to do something...to protect the pinion a little. I guess I was thinking the pinion would twist down..
It will want to twist up. I would just get some bars built and not worry about it. I know from experience. Had to rebuild the rear end. Twisted the pinion.
basicly the rearend will go the opposite way the tires are going.
here is a video charles posted up to show it a while back.
watch how much the rear end twists back down when he lets out of the throttle
