I love being the draftsman for a metal fabrication place. I think of cool stuff to have cut, and CNC cuts it for me. Text changed a little from what I had, but it'll do. These plates go just to the left of the radio, under the air vent.
This one is for my truck.
This is for my fuel pressure gauge that Im going to run in the cab.
This is for my dads truck. He doesn't know much about performance stuff, he's just glad I put the chip in there for him, so he needed to know what the numbers stood for.
By the way I read the original post, he was the draftsman that came up with the sizes, type of metal, drew up the plans, most likely came up with the software to cut it, finalized the design, and then passed it along to the guy that put in the stock to be cut in the CNC machine and hit "complete task."
Ill have them with me. Gonna pull the dash out of the truck tomorrow and cut holes all in it and paint it black probably. Thanks for the compliments. Its amazing what you can do with a lazer cutter when the boss is gone for 3 days.
Man, what we need is just a round plate with those numbers that we can mount behind the switch. I remember a few years ago somebody was making them, but they have disappeared.
I have to say that those are very nice to see in person. I got a chance to see them Friday night. That was the question I asked when I saw it was that is wouldn't work for the guys with the 4x4 switch on the dash.
No, I dont have a shot of that. I might try to get one later. It mounts right where most of you guys 4x4 selector is. I have a stick 4x4 selector so I had plenty of blank space on my dash.
