I have a Jasper rebuilt motor and 5-spd tranny, it was installed in 2001 and I was wondering if anyone knew if Jasper would have put PMRs or forged rods in if it was rebuilt in 2001? What's the easiest way to check? I'm wanting to go to some bigger injectors and chip, and possibly an H2E or compounds and I just want to make sure my truck will hold up.
Jasper will use whatever they have on hand at time of rebuild. PMR or forged it doesnt matter to them. They do same with tranny's. They mix parts from
E4OD and 4R100 and they don't use the strongest one either.Last E4OD I built for a customer had a stamped steel LO/REVERSE drum in it instead of the cast one normally found in E4OD. Stamped steel drums are 4R100
Or next time you change your oil you can look up the drain plug hole
