Oh man, had to take the spider off to get to the RIPR and decided to do the new silicone boots that have been rolling around in the bed for 9 months. I've been on them for 2 hours, and still need to get one boot to slide down the rest of the way. Hands all torn up, knees sore, back sore. Yea IH!
Anyway, it's on but one boot wont go down past the lip of the billet intakes. A polished radius would sure help there. If the intakes ever come off, that will get done for sure. Still, the two piece intake would really solve that problem. That, and if Joey would make the RIPR port stick straight up so I didnt have to remove the spider (hint hint Joey, please?) So, next on my list. Bet I could have got a smokin deal on them yesterday at Truk Fest. Oh well. I'm sure someone will sell me a set.oke:
Just in case anyone cares. It's running, guess it was that new IPR after all. It's funny, the one on my OBS is the original with 250K on it, rebuilt once at around 240K.

Hey Frank, that IPR should clear the Y, barely, at least it does on my 01.
Funny you mention a different R-IPR....... I have a proto-type Hi-Flow version in testing. If it works out, it will be available in a few months. :ford:
BTW, glad to see your up and running. Just clean the IPR and keep it as a spare.

What? maybe easier than having to pull fuel bowl, or in the case of Termies, pulling the pumps, but nowhere near easy. Easy would be an RIPR block with the IPR sticking straight up for easy access. Since it can be such a major problem it really should have super easy access. Please please please make it easier to get to. Hey, if it was sticking straight up, you could have a little plastic clip on cover made with the Terminator logo on it. That would show up nice in a Deisel Power spread.oke:
I had IPR issues that were crazy for a while. I finally broke down and bought another new one and it worked. I was almost pissed that it did, but it sure is nice to be able to jump in and start her up every time without worries.
Well, I still have a major oil leak somewhere, so I may get the chance to find out. However, I would really like to replace the spider if I do.
