I'm talking DD's here, not dyno queens or shedded shop trucks. No offense to zane or david they get my respect but for the rest of us who drive ours what do we have for a water-mark?
I didn't put this in Smack Talk because I'd like to get some real idea of who has nuts that clank! and not the best smack.
11.66 @ 113 mph. The truck still has the carpet, factory seats inside and the a/c still even works . Its still daily drivable with current tags, insurance, and a state inspection. I probably drive it once or twice a week to work which is 45 miles each way.
Zane's truck was fully street legal, and still drove on the street many times...I have a few times on the freeway in the pass seat in it.....
Fastest times fuel only are around the 11.40 to 11.25 mark........
MORE than once it has ran the 11.40 and backed it up again and again.....
on edit: I am gonna wager that Powersmoker is going to run into the same issues Wide Opens truck was having "IF" he gets it any where near the 10 second mark........
It is not to say that Zanes truck couldn't run faster.......but there is a wall there that needs to be addressed......thats all I am gonna say......
sorry missed the part on 7.3, the list of fastest 7.3's almost were all daily drivers, david lotts was closer to race ready, as for zane, but dockgirl, mikey, danny's 7.3 were trucks they drove everyday
the funny thing is dodge and chev guys aren't hitting that wall, i love watching zane run as much as the next guy, but launching at 50psi boost is going to break parts, powersmoker your next, GET R DONE
Looks to me that the issue is with the how the suspension is setup not the suspension itself. We have run faster 1/8th miles with Mikes truck and dont have any of that crap goin on.
