Is there a measurement that I can take before and after I swap my LL for a regular AD that will ensure that I have the injector in all the way. It seems that I need to properly crush the copper ring. Any suggestions or proven methods? Thanks.
I took a chunk of 2x4 and a big hammer, and gave it a few good hits. You really want to make sure that copper is crushed. The back ones you can't get to hit, i took a pry bar, got it in the fire wall and push down as much as the bar would hold.
Hmmm, the only one I need to do is the #8, which I believe is against the fire wall on the driver's side. I was thinking I would have enough room to tap with a rubber mallet if necessary. Sounds like that may not happen eh?
aren't you guys worried about damaging the solenoids?
when I did my injectors, to crush the copper, I tapped them in, torqued them, untorqued them, tapped again and torqued again...
On another note, would a truck start and run if the coppers weren't 100% crushed?
and perhaps, would it later die and completely not start LOL
