I'm running the 274 race tune, intake, exhost, suncoast internals in the tranny. It only happens if i run the truck really hard. If i drive it normal it never happens.
ok better question.... what are the ambient air temps? how long have you been running that tune? are you running the A/C ?? i had heard a few trucks losing headgaskets after lots of miles on the 275 tune.
If i run it hard from 0 to 100mph or on the hight way passing hard it will blow coolant out the overflow cap. driving around town its fine only when it driven hard it happens.
Just had a stock one doing this when towing a trailer. It was the thermostats not functioning properly. I was at a loss but there was a ssm for this particular build of truck to do with this. You have to drive the truck and watch the temps on a scanner and compare to the chart with the ssm. There are updated thermostats for certain builds of 6.4s
