I know we've got some mma fans on here, but does anyone train? I just trained tonight for the first time in over a year and I'm still shakin', lol. I do my annual training LOL with Rich Clementi at Gladiator Academy.
He's actually putting on a show over here this coming weekend with Ricco Rodriguez ini the main event, then another one the following weekend at the Hard Rock Casino in Biloxi.
We did grappling tonight, I'm debating going back wednesday for the thai/kickboxing. I really hate getting hit though.
They just opened an Academy in the woodlands that some UFC trainers run. I have been thinking of giving it a try. What's the worst that could happen. LOL
i am currently trainin fo a fight on aug 1st I have a wrestling background and then i was a martial arts instructer in the marine corps keep it up once you get hit a couple times you will be fine dont biatch out before you give it a chance if you want i can get you tickets if your around MT. in aug
Actually, let me clarify. This wasn't my first time. I trained for about 4-5 years and did a number of mma fights and grappling tourneys. I just gradually got out of it after that. I have never enjoyed getting hit, lol, even though my stand-up is supposedly better than my ground game. I usually just pop into class every so often now.
My brother wants to learn BJJ if he goes back to school this fall. Be a bad deal for anyone if he knew that #### and got in a bad mood. Dudes already 6'4 245 pounds of angry.
Most of the ones around here are kinda sketch, but it'd be a good way to keep my ass in shape.
