Hey I finally saved up enough to get some parts for my truck. I would like you guys to see what I have come up with and see if I'm going to need anything else. Or if you have any comments on what I should do different besides going bigger. I appreciate any input you have. Thanks.
Bean's IDM mod
DIY 160cc single shot injectors
Bean's 1.0 turbine housing with ebv delete adapter
Already have a turbo wheel upgrade
DP Tuner
Cooling mist water injection
Overboost annhialator
ITP regulated return line
Looks like your gonna have a hell of a truck when you get all that put on. Only thing I would chance is who you are getting the chip from. Since your already getting some stuff from Beans, I would get one of his chips with custom tunes for those new injectors. I hear he is really doing some good stuff tuning wise. Good Luck.
Yeah I'm still not perfectly sure what chip I'm going to go with. I want a dp cause they seem to be the choice of most on here. I was also thinking on a gryphon from power hungry cause they can do custom tunes and I won't need a new a pillar cause it goes right where my edge monitor is now. I'll look into bean's though and see what they have. I still need to keep the cost down as much as I can. If I have enough left over I want to get a new hood with scoops, an 05 grille if it fits, 03 headlights, euro tail lights, and one of those 7" screen dvd/cd/gps players. Yeah I've been putting in a lot of overtime.
Well I really want to do the injectors myself. Wether I screw it up or not (which I highly doubt it). I won't need any head studs or rods will I?
I'm not looking for crazy horse power or anything. I put like 60 miles on it a day. I'm going just as far as I can without losing driveability. How much do you think I will get out of that?
I have a setup close to what you want with ddp 160cc single shots. I am very happy with the tuning (over a year no issues, thanks dp) and power. I truck pull it, dyno and 1/4 mile. My quarter mile is consistently 14.5 to 14.9 and my dyno is 385 to almost 400hp but the torque numbers change alot. its very competative at truck pulls and runs with the 500hp dodges and chevs, its all in how everything works together.
Well on the cooling mist I thought it helped in two ways. Mainly for heat. Then maybe a tiny bit of power. Also I have a late 99 not an early. How good are the rods and head studs on that?
On another subject does anyone know who the guy is with the white flatbed out by coffeyville, Ks. with the giant Powerstrokenation.com stickers on the side. Just wanted to say it looked pretty nice.
I am just thinking with that setup you may not have real bad egt's... so you might want to think about getting that afterwards... depending on how your truck runs with the new injectors...
You are fine with your rods... The head bolts should be ok since I don't think you will be making 40+ lbs of boost...
Ok. Well thanks for the input guys. I'll let you know how it works out.
Thanks,
Chris
