It will take some time to learn to drive it on snow & ice but guys have them. I don't know for sure mine is a 2wd and the only thing we shovel off the driveway is heat here in Az. Gonna be 115 on Sat & 117 on Sun
From previous post by other members, it seems that the True Trac is a lot easier to cope with in the winter time than the Locker.
I believe a lot of the pullers run a Locker in back and a True Trac up front. If your factory LS is gone up front then I would do it. If not I'd wait until it does.
I think a air locker is the only way to go for the front unless the truck is used 100% off road.
