I have a Autometer warning/recall coolant temp gauge and my question is this: What would you set the warning temp to? Right now I have it set to 220, is this a good spot? I don't want it set to the overheating temp, just like 10 degrees before it so I have time to take it easy before it gets too hot. Lastly, what is considered overheating?
Unfortunately aftermarket gauges tend to read quite a bit higher than the stock sensor (sometimes 10-15 degrees). The truck is suppose to begin to defuel at 221 degrees. I think 220 is a good place to start and see from there.
Alright, I will leave my warning at 220, Thanks...
