i thought i knew what i was doing, but now i realize i dont know squat.
that being said,i advised my friend to get class 5 hybreds, and an h2e
for his 96 4x4 van.

all was well for about a year, now he has a cracked piston.
wondering what the cause might be,he drives by the pyramiter,
but here is also,im at a loss for what i was thinking,

i mean what do class 5 flow???
is there a set flow rate for class 5
or are there different ones,im just now wondering what the hells we built

please go easy on my stupidity, if you can
what do you think ??

yes. where did he order the injectors from? normally cracked pistons can be attributed to excessive EGT's. did he have proper tuning for the mods?

Sometimes a cracked piston can be caused by a broken oil squirter under the affected piston......

Don't buy in to the whole "stage 10" injector thing. Way back, people were accustomed to stage 1,2,or 3 injectors for the powerstroke. Something similar to the stage 3 is an injector that provides enough fuel for 500 horsepower, and gets excellent mileage is the 238cc/80% nozzle hybrid injector. That injector with a 66mm (garrett) turbo or stock h2e will get you an easy 450HP to the wheels and rock in overall drivability and mileage......
