What are safe temps as far as oil and coolant? My oil was running about 210 today and I was just wondering if that was a little high. Thanks.

On stock trucks I see 185-200 cruising down the highway.

210-215 on a hard pull, but quickly returns back to ~190 or so

Oil and coolant temp should be within ~10 degrees of each other

You really dont have anything to worry about until your oil get around 230-235. Then your truck may start to heat up if you stay on it too long, i have my 7.3 around 225 on oil just about everytime i pull. But i pull 40000 gross up 10% grades for 30 miles. Its a colorado thing!

Thanks guys. It was pretty hot today, ran about 210 in the city with the AC cranked. I am still waiting for the adapter for my coolant temp gauge.
