While my motor is out I am going to beat the fire wall back a bit, remove the insulation (because its trashed) and powerwash and paint the frame... Just more or less clean it out and up.
I would just do some preventive mantaince. Check for rust take care of that and fix anything that is broken. Thought you already had ladder bars on your truck. What are you doing with them and why are you building a new set?
The only benefit that you might see is less turbo lag. Remember .......heat is what drives the turbo. Theres a couple 6.0 guys that are (big singles 3.0 ind) heat wrapping the uppipes around here. They do this to help reduce lag .......It keeps the heat in.
It's the same reason I was more concerned with getting the inside of my exhaust manifold coated, rather than just the outside...
