I have personally had a 6.oh on a stand from Harbor freight it was rated at 1000 lbs. I was cautious rolling it around the shop tho. It was a three wheel type.
The problem is getting the right shaped stand. I have one from Harbor freight, it's either 1500 or 2000 and the legs are shaped like a "V". Problem is my 2000 lift from them also has a "V" base  impossible to use together. I'm ordering one like this one to use to reassemble my project 6.0L
look at the norco 2000 lb gear driven engine stand. It hooks on both sides of the engine and you can roll it over into any position. I have one in the box with all of the 7.3 6.0 and 6.4 brackets that I would sell. But you would have to pick up in Plano Texas.
That's how I ended up with problems when I bought my "V" stand out in my garage when I was thinking about doing a 7.3L build before getting my 06- I went out with the notion bigger was better. That's how I ended up with the 2000# V based stand that I'm probably going to end up putting out for the garbage pick-up
Logan- will a 1250# stand hold a full 6.0L longblock? I wasn't for sure, that's why I ordered the 1500lbs stand. Does anyone make a cradle that will fit/hold a 6.0L?
The Norco stand is very nice and strong and expensive it is not junk. It will hold a complete put together engine and it is what is in all the Ford shops across the country
