I know the Sledge has the ability to move a lot of air, but I have a project I need to limit hp to around 400 (and boost) and I need to use what I have laying around. Which means the Sledge, 180cc Stage-2's, and no head studs.
Just wondering how 'safe' this combination would be as far as boost and no head studs.
Wouldn't the overall HP and boost be controlled by the amount of fuel?
So have a chip burnt accordingly.
I would be more concerned about spooling up the Sledge its a big turbo.
If it runs anything like Dieselfever's truck did with split shot 175's and a mod H2e you might, he was hitting 40psi really easy before he stuck in studs!
Might get lucky and have a motor like House', stock bolts and alot more airflow.
I would think the sledge would be better for keeping the heads on. It is bigger and will not boost as much as the H2 or have as much backpressure. IF this was with hybrids I think it may be a different story though.
FWIW I am still running your hybrids on mine without studs. Mine will hit 45psi but that is WOT on the hotter tunes. 35psi is more than enough....
