ok i have a 2003 6.0 the egr cooler finally blew a 160k i prdered this http://gosperformance.com/inc/sdetail/5679 anything else anything to do to the egr valve. and any tips on the back turbo bolt
EGR valve will not hurt anything, it can do whatever it wants, cause once the cooler is gone it is a moot point. For a cleaner look it can be eliminated. I have never had any trouble with the back bolt, so I'm no help there.
I had problem with the back bolt as well. It was so tight that I stripped the head off. I ended up using an old socket and packed some JB weld in it. I let it sit all night and the next day I used a breaker bar and it broke loose. I replaced all the bolts when I reinstalled turbo and used anti-sieze on them.
Soak the bolts with penetrating oil the night before and you shouldn't have any issues with them. Don't drop the little spacer things that are on the bolts though...you'll need them aain.
I saw you at TS, and BTW i love your truck, and you look scary as hell man.
