Hard shifts on 7.3

Hey yall, my truck shifts really hard and jerks the whole truck if i get on it like gettin on the on ramp to the highway. Is this a bad tranny or something else? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Does the Overdrive light flash at all? If so, you should start by scanning it and see what codes come up. If not, then im guessing solenoids or maybe a trans rebuild is lookin like its coming in the near future. Also, I'm guessing your trans fluid isn't low. Hopefully someone else will come along here too for another opinion

I was chasing that problem myself. One stock trans, one rebuild, and monsterbox all did the same hard shift. I did loose the solenoid pack on the monster. I changed the accelerator switch, pcm, no luck. In March during live tuning with Jody, I told him about the shift. He saw it on the laptop and changed the shift timing, now it's smooth.
