As many of you know, I'm still having issues with my truck. I spent all day on Tuesday working with David on tuning. He cleaned up the smoke and got it driveable. Cant thank David enough for helping me out.
HOWEVER. It still has issues...to the point it almost left me stranded more than once on the way home from Houston in the middle of rush hour traffic. I'm almost to the point of disgust with the whole thing.
Fast forward to Thursday. I'm Pm'ng/texting Dave @ Swamp's back and forth bouncing ideas off of him trying to come up with a solution. Out of the blue he asks me how I would feel about them having the truck for a couple weeks. They are flying in and taking the whole damn thing back to their shop!
Keep in mind, the only thing I have purchased from them is a set of injectors and a Gen3. This is not their problem!
So they are gonna take it, debug it, tune it with all new Swamps tunes and then strap it to a dyno.
I'm floored by the way Dave, Jon and Swamp's are absolutely going out of their way to line out my mess when they dont even have to.
I feel like a load is being lifted. You guys are awesome.
Thats great of them to do that for you, there great guys.
Dave has helped me out also with some little things, an i have never bought anything from them yet.
Jon and Dave really do have some endurance when it comes to answering questions, and it seems like no matter how late I call they are always at the shop.
Mine dies when coming off a romp if it's right after start up. Then it started bucking yesterday. Then the check engine light came on. Now it bucks anytime I'm at steady throttle and puffs white smoke.
Looks like it will get to them sooner than expected. Jason (Gracing) has volunteered to drive it to them (12-14 hrs) and fly back. He leaves in the Morning.
I'll drive up there and park mine next to it and leave them there over night. My truck will tell your truck what a sloppy pu$$y it is all night long for acting like such a bitch about all this little bs so much, that when I finally pull it away in the morning yours will just get over itself and run like it should.
Dang.
I hope Swamps can get the truck running right for you. My truck is nick named "The Pit," but it's nowhere as big as a money pit as yours is looking to be LOL
All in jest though. Sounds like you are in good hands. I know how disappointing it is to spend that kind of money and then have issues, but hang in there man.
It......WILL....... be okay. It....WILL..... run like it's supposed to. Nothing can hide from them. Everything that could possibly be wrong is within their ability to fix in-house.
They WILL find the gremlin... and they WILL F'ing kill it and any of his buddies on sight.
Thanks for the words. All kidding aside I have wasted a LOT of time that should have been spent with my family. I have small kids. I have guilt for that.
Ya high five for Shwamps..... Heck yesterday I had to call and DEMAND that they take down my card number for my new motor ointlaugh: Good peeps for sure.
Could you please clarify EXACTLY what it is doing? How it starts, smokes, runs, idles, sounds, boosts, power, etc...?
Good Luck btw. I had a GREMLIN filled truck for years (actually it was mostly just 1 thing). It freakin' aged me like 2 years but that's only because it took 2 years to get it running right! Lots of $ and time and I would certainly do it a lot different next time around.
