I have an '06 6.0L that is giving me a P0611 FICM performance code, along with a 'lazy start' condition like the gentleman a few posts down. See here for entire saga: http://powerstrokenation.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21020
What I want to know is, can I swap FICM's with a buddy's truck to see if that helps the lazy start condition before I go any buy a new FICM?
Also, is this something I can handle myself? Does anyone have photos showing the location of the FICM? I assume its a matter of some mounting bolts and harness plug. What about programming the FICM?
Out of warranty at 135k miles, so I'm watching my pennies here...
Sorry for all the stupid questions.
