Ya so finally my ride sharded a couple weeks ago and I said efit and decided its time to move forward with the build. I have received tons of info from this site and just want to share my experience through the process for those that are interested.

So here is what initiated this whole deal..

Turned out only to be a broken rocker and 2 broken p-rods.

Couple hours later that day..

And finally motor out..

I would consider this border line wild..

Crowers
Coated lower compression pistons
Ported heads
Studs
Pushrods
Filled block
Injectors are b codes with some swamp touches.
DI toonsh.
GT42 turbo
Di headers also

Sweet! How fast is the project going to come together?

Well I probably will have the motor before the end of the month. The good guys at Swamps have to measure this and measure that, then measure it all over agian so they can measure something.. hahaha

But I wouldnt have it any other way.. I am all about doing things the right way the first time. Things are progressing nicely.

Dave the motor done yet???:poke:

DI is right down the road from me for one reason. Second and more important, Dave has tuned my motor since 100,001 miles and have had no issues.

so how big of injectors were you running when the rocker broke?

I know, I know...as it sits right now I am not going with a girdle or bed plate...:lookaround:

Althought it looks like I am going all out.. I am more concerned with durabilty over the long run not high HP.

Have not needed one.....so far :lookaround:

IMO...if it's built right, tuned right...you don't need one. But I understand those that put one in. Can't really argue against having one if you decide to do it.

Well you have to draw the line somewhere right? I mean if I did a girdle or bed plate where do you stop?

Im not after the HP or 1/4 mile record or anything like that... Just want a built motor that will last and be reliable with a few more horsees than I had with the stock motor.

Damn Dave...mocking your own work?

*looking for Swamps phone number*
650 out of that engine is embarrassingly low

Someone needs to grow a pair and fill the nitrous bottle:eek::poke:
