My 6.0 has been runnin a bit on the doggish side lately. When I start let it warm up it almost smokes the whole street out with white smoke. It runs a bit rough (hard shifts, no power) for the first 5-10 minutes of driving while still huffing the white smoke pretty good. It is also going through coolant every week or so. Ill lose heat to the interior, the water temp will start rising and the fan will run heavy. I have an appointment to get it in to the local Ford dealer on Monday. Can anyone think what my problem would be and if I should continue driving the truck over the weekend until I get it into the shop.
Mine did the same thing and it was the EGR cooler leaking. I think that ended up taking out the head gaskets on mine as it was puking before, but started puking worse once that happened. EGR delete and some ARPs got mine running good again.
Damn dude, get an EGR Delete kit and get rid of that damn thing
