you cant just look at load ranges...look at the actual number the tire is rated for. ive seen some tires with a lower rating rated "e" than a "d" rated tire.
I have 35" BFG AT's(315/70r17). They are a load range D (3195lbs). I tow a toyhauler 5ver with no problems. Have almost 40k miles on them. I am right at the weigh limit and have been over the GCVW at 23,600# a couple of times. I will probably get the Hankook Dynapro MT in an E rating next.
