I couldnt live w/ out mine. Use it to tie everything down like ATV's and long boards so it doesnt rub the top of my cab. Good think I dont own a nice truck, I wouldnt want to make you sick. LOL
no mine is for when i put something long on the the truck it doesnt scratch the chit out of my cab. also they do prevent stuff from breaking ur back window, ex. quads, bricks (if you slam on the breaks. dont ask me how i know
I gotta say next to the ProTech rack that has to be one of the sharpest I have ever seen, incorporates the lights perfectly too. If I had the money I would buy one from ya in a heart beat, only other thing I could see adding to it would be some sort of a lumber stop or something to stick up incase things tied down want to slide side to side.
as ya said everyone has their personal prefernce, personally I love the look of them lol, but then again I like the look of a stout well built clean work truck over a wheeler. Heck I would be happy with a F550 with a dump bed, aluminum 19.5's and aluminum toolboxes and led lights and all that lol
I have personally witnessed a guy getting pretty seriously hurt from a bunch of CMU's going through the back window (in a regular cab truck) and also like the ability to tie stuff off to the rack or add some lights for plowing or working.
Im also curious on a price. Was thinking about building one similar to yours, minus the bars. Mostly looking for a rack to mount my work lights and my light bar when I'm out on the job. I was thinking about making the side panels longer and cutting out a hole to mount some lights to shine out on the side??
congrats coope, hope it works out good for ya. Seems like a really top notch product your making. Wish I had to cash to drop on one, but hopefully ya make some sales :ford:
