hey there brand spankin new to this site cuz i just got my first Powerstroke and my first Ford very happy with the truck, although i do have one problem...the button that takes the trans out of overdrive does not work and i would like to know what i may need to be looking for rather than the tranny shop charging me 60 bucks just to tell me something i could have figuerd out so your help would be greatly appreicated. by the way the truck is a 2002 350.
:whs:if this be the case. you need to replace the shift lever. its held to the shifter tube under the column cover with a pin you drive out with a punch and small hammer. easy fix.. just take the cover off and investigste the wires. its pretty much a tell tale sign.
that simple of a fix...all i have to do is take off the cover on the coulmn and how would you suggest i go about repairing them i didnt know if there were special things i had to do or what.
