Hi,
I bought a used 2006 Ford F250 KingRanch used from a Ford Dealer in Missouri. When I went to pick it up the batteries were dead it needed a boost. The dealer said the doors were open while cleaning it (b.S.) and boosted it and it was fine for a couple of months. I had it at a local Ford Dealer replacing the rear slider motor and when I got it back the next day the batteries were dead, I had it towed to the dealer (roadside assistance) and they said the same B.S. that the door was opened and it drained the batteries so they charged them and away I go. A couple of months later I am at the car wash and it dies again so I get it towed again to another Ford Dealer. They changed something (flm relay?) and charged the batteries. Now 7 months later the thing died again but now my warranty has expired 1 month ago. I contacted the Ford Dealer and they said it will not be covered under warranty even though they never fixed the orignal problem, I call Ford head office and they said to go after the dealer for faulty workmanship (nice).
Could any one give me suggestions on how and what to check? It seems to be either a slow drain or intermittent. The truck only has 36,199 miles.
Thank you
John
