6.0L blowing grey smoke... towed in.. no start

Hey everyone...

We had a 2004 F350 6.0L at work today that was towed in blowing a lot of grey smoke. When I went out to start it, it turned over a bit and stoped with a sudden thud. I checked and the coolant level is not down at all, and the oil level is good.

I was going to pull the glow pugs tomorrow and turn the engine over by hand to figure out if it is coolant, or possibly fuel????

Any advice? I know more about 7.3s than I do 6.0Ls

Thanks a million guys!

I pulled the EGR valve and looked around. There was no coolant there and the coolant level was not low...

Do injectors ever go bad on these??? Truck has 120 000 KMs....

Want to pull the glow plugs next and see what fluid is coming out of what cylinders\???

Cool. Thanks! I guess I need to find out which cylinder(s) is full, and what fluid it is full of
