CSI, what did you do to "fix" that little chip at the top of the cyl bore that is in question? Could you just run the engine with that damage with no ill effects?
It protruded under the steel ring, so my builder was leary of using it when it was going to see 450-500 hp. It took several phone calls, but the motor was picked up and shipped back.
Joe, your pics are so blurry that it is indistinguisable. It looks like a burnish or rub on the top cylinder lead in chamfer. Unless it is a ding or gouge that is deeper than the width of the keystone ring, it is just a cosmetic rub. But you could call that damage. I guess the shipping company needs to get you a new motor. :doh:
I'm hopping to get the injectors, push rods, rockers, valve covers, and all the wiring back together tonight and ready to drop back in the truck tonight or tomorrow.
The paint on the pan didnt turn out how i wanted it to... I primered it and i think i panted it to soon because the brown is showing though. Im going to put another good coat of pant on it tonight.
