Got myself the x street tune finally and wow I can say the power is deffinetly there. So much so that I'm scared to really use it? Trans seems to shift well also but the tune seems to be exxesivly smoky off idle smoke don't bother me that's kinda normal but when I get on it more than About 1/4 it has a pretty decent haze the whole way thrue. Is that normal? Egts seem to climb fairly fast also.
Mine will clean up x street once the turbo lights. Smokes decent when I nail it from idle but as soon as turbo spools it cleans up and I also have their ficm programmer. What other mods do you have? I only have an exhaust (4" back) and s&b intake. Even x race cleans up on mine after spool up.
I've tossed the idea of intake around although I no it isn't necessary looks nice under the hood and mayby help the turbo sing a bit. Plus not 60 bucks to change haha
I heard intakes can #### up your engine? Is that true? Like I heard it thats in hot air?
I just looked this intake up and here was one of the comments:
I have one on a 6.0 I just bought. It makes a lot of unpleasant noise, but the worse part monitoring the IAT is is sucks a lot of hot air in from the engine bay, through the hole on the battery side of the box. I'm going back to stock.
A good intake like s&b will lower iat a few degreese an open style filter can raise iat tho they also don't filter quite as well as a stock filter but they do flow a bit more. These trucks really don't need intakes intel you start upgrading turbos 6.4s in the other hand need a intake for any decent tune.
