Have you ever looked into Cal-Tracs? I haven't heard one bad thing about them. Not sure how set you are in your mind about the FarmBoys bars, just thought I would throw out another option. Both will get the job done though.
i have the stage ones with the chromolly heims. i dont have any pics, but they are a lot longer than caltracs bars. mine for my long bed are 7'11" long.
caltracs can not be ran on lifted trucks. stock rear leafs with with factory blocks is all theyre made for. id imagine with some fabrication you could use them on a lifted application but im not sure if theyd be as effective. also look into the ouo bars. the black truck at the show had them and they looked VERY impressive.
Can ask Sanger on here about this. Caltracs with a 8" lift, some pics from his feature in Diesel Power magazine :ford:
Seems Farmboys bars get a really good rep for not only the product but also the customer service which is always a big plus.
For an alternative though the One Up Offroad lift block setup seems to work really well. Here is a good video of them in action on DrSpeed's truck At around 1:15 in the vid is a good under carriage view of them in action while sled pulling.
From what I understand Caltracs can be custom built for just about any application. I am personally considering Caltrac but I know people with Farmboys' bars and they love them. I've ridden in a truck equipped with them and didn't even notice they were there according to the ride.
sounds good, im goona be looking today, seems like teh projects never stop
